Thurs 29th July 1999 - City join up with Bass Breweries

City have announced a major new partnership today. Bass Breweries have joined together with City in a deal worth Ł75,000 over 3 years. Bass will provide their products for retail at Ninian Park. Carling will become the Official beer of Cardiff City Football Club.

Cardiff have also agreed a deal with Gilesports which makes the sport shop chain the official retailer for Cardiff City.

Further deals have been agreed with Red Dragon Radio and with The Echo.

All in all the finance being generated by these deals will go to further team strengthening and ground improvements. The massive pre season sale of season tickets and the sponsorship deals that have been done has enabled the manager to go out and buy / sign the players he wants for a successful campaign in division 2.

I'm sure you'll agree that this is forward thinking and progress on a scale we have not seen at Ninian Park before. Well done to all concerned.
