Frank Burrows has backed out of the deal to but Iffy Onuora. Reports on Christmas Eve claimed that the players personal terms were a sticking point but now it seems all was agreed but Cardiff have backed out of the deal after watching the 32 year old play for Swindon on Boxing Day. Steve Borley has admitted its embarrassing and will speak to Swindon who were relying on the £110,000 from the transfer to help them stay in business.

The only report out from from management / coaching staff suggested he was not better than players who are already at the club.

The Bluebirds though are still looking for a new striker. The latest name linked is Dundee Utd's Alex Mathie. Mathie has been on loan at Preston and started well with them but is now back in Scotland. Mathie is 31 and joineed Utd for £700,000 from Ipswich last year. Mathie has been watched by Frank Burrows. Kurt Nogan is again mentioned.
