Tomorrow will be a real University Challenge. City will be without upto 8 - 10 first team squad members, the main reason being flu and a couple of players still nursing injuries. There was a bare squad available yesterday with Lee Phillips, Chris Roberts and even Rob Earnshaw getting on the bench. The only fit players that did not feature in the 16 on duty were Dai Thomas and Jamie Hughes. Rumours today that Schwinke has been struck down with the flu virus as well. Mark Bonner maybe back to it looks like if City can muster up 18 men to take part they will be the only 18 fit from the first team squad.

For Cambridge read Reading, revert back to the Reading preview to see how mush a win would mean to Cardiff. They are below us in the league, at the moment they are the worst placed team of the sides who came up from Div 3 last season and their league form is pushing them straight back down again. Cardiff and Cambridge have had a good relationship over the last few seasons. Tomorrow I hope it will be smiles all round but the biggest grins on City faces.

I look forward to meeting some of the Cambridge fans who I believe are planning a pint with us before the game. (As a result the site update will be late - I will be in Cambridge).

It goes without saying that a win would mean so much. As the Echo said of the Reading game Mission Accomplished. I think  3 points would be one hell of a way to end the current millenium.

How about 3 points to finish this 1000 years and 3 points against Preston next week to welcome in the next 1000 years.

Mission Impossible? I dont think so.
