The youngsters fell to a soft extra time goal at Ninian park last night. Here is a brief report for George Tromans.

"Barnet scored the winner in first period of extra time, one of the most comical goals I have ever seen, a feeble shot from a Barnet midfielder across the floor went straight through Gari Evans' hands and rolled slowly into the back of the net. City had a header cleared off the line in last minute of extra time, and it certainly looked well overe the line from my position in the grandstand. Overall a pretty good game, looks like their should be some decent players coming through ranks in future years, with the three centre backs looking very composed , and also a good keeper finally coming through in Gari Evans."

Barnet now go on to meet Crystal Palace in round 3.
