bluebird.gif (2236 bytes)Lets put all the doom and gloom talk behind us. Confidence is what the team needs going into tonights crucial game v Stoke City. Its a perfect chance for the players to do the talking on the pitch and kick start our season again. We know we are not a poor side and the challenge of playing Stoke, who are unbeaten in their last 8 league games, should be enough incentive to go out and prove that we can compete and do well in this division. We are a difficult side to beat at home in the league, the last 22 games proves that. We must start to convert the draws into victories. The team tonight will probably be the same as Saturday.

There are no new injury worries but no returns either. Its possible that John Cornforth may be brought in to secure the midfield.

Gavin Ward the ex City keeper is the No.1 choice at Stoke and I'm sure he will receive a warm welcome from the Ninian Park faithful.

With just over a 1/4 of the season gone the table is still very tight, a few good results could see us catapulted up into the top half of the table.

Lets start now and get behind the team, the manager and the board and all do our bit to push the club forward.

Preview from Football 365.
Cardiff boss Frank Burrows is expecting a tough test when high-flying Stoke visit his Bluebirds side. Burrows is unlikely to make any changes from the side which was held to a 1-1 draw at home to Oldham. Assistant boss Billy Ayre is looking for his side to be more lethal in front of goal. He said: ''If we manage to convert the majority of our chances someone's going to get a good hammering. We know what to expect from Stoke and they are a good side.' Stoke boss Gary Megson may decide to shake up his side following their below-par performance in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Bournemouth.
stoke1.jpg (1789 bytes)Megson was not pleased with their display and may chose to make changes for the trip to South Wales to face Cardiff. He said: ''Some of my players seemed content to turn up and play. If they don't want to be in the team and giving everything then they should go and play somewhere else.'' Cardiff, unbeaten at Ninian Park, offer Stoke a difficult test as the Potters look to extend their eight-game unbeaten run in Division Two.
