burnley.jpg (14439 bytes)Cardiff face the unenviable task of trying to break a hole in Burnleys water tight defence. Burnley have not conceded a goal at Turf Moor in over seven and a half hours of football. They have condeded only 3 goals in the last 12 matches they have played. Its difficult to see how City are going to go and get a win tomorrow but ever the optomist I'll be willing them all the way. Burnley, who struggled last season, are now in fine form. Cardiff City must look to the fortunes of Burnley and learn from them. Next season the Bluebirds intend to be vying for a promotion place and follow a similar pattern.

Kevin Nugent has joined the 18 man squad that travelled to the North West today. He has recovered from the fractured knee that has kept him out for the past few weeks. At best he can expected a place on the bench tomorrow with Jason Bowen and Richie Humphreys (who extended his loan period today) starting up front. Jorn Schwinkendorf will make his league debut in place of the suspended Russell Perrett. With Tony Vaughan now history the back three spaces will be challenged for by Jeff Eckhardt, Schwinke, Perrett and Ford. With Perrett out tomorrow the back three pick itself. Scott Young the other name who could challange remains injured and will do for a week or two yet.

Winston Faerber is struggling and his place will go to Josh Low if he unfit. Low came on for Faerber in the last two games and did enough to earn a place by right.

Chris Roberts also has a knock and did not travel.

The full 18 man squad is.bluebird.gif (2236 bytes)

The game tomorrow is pay at the gate and entry cost £13.00 and £6.50 for consessions.
