Mark Delaney has won the Welsh Club Player of the Year award for his 10 month rise to fame from Carmarthen via Cardiff City to Aston Villa. He was presented with his award at the Welsh Player of the Year dinner in Cardiff last night. Delaney has been a revelation and must be so grateful to Frank Burrows for catapulting him into the big time. Southampton keeper Paul Jones won the main award of Player of the Year. Former Cardiff City player Derek Tapscott was presented with a special award for services to Welsh football.

There are two matches at Ninian Park this week. On Wednesday the reserves host Torquay Utd, kick off is at 2:00pm. On Thursday eveing the youth team entertain Barnet in the FA Youth Cup 2nd round replay. Kick off is at 7:00pm and the winners will travel to Crystal Palace in round 3.

The latest news from the ticket office is as follows.

Saturday 20th November 1999. Bury v City.
This is pay at the turnstile.

Tuesday 23rd November 1999. Colchester v City.
At the moment this match is ticket only. They are on sale now at £9.00 for the terrace and £11.00 for the stand. Please check nearer the time if you can pay at the gate.

Saturday 27th November 1999. City v Gillingham.
Pay on the day, normal home arrangements.

Saturday 4th December. Millwall v City.
Strickly all ticket. Tickets are available from the ticket office at Ninian Park.
