Kevin Nugent scored twice and Winston Faerber opened the scoring as Cardiff pulled off a great victory at the Manor Ground. City were 2 - 0 up at half time after Faerber struck on 17 minutes and Nugent on 41 mins. City though let that lead slip and were punished firstly on 68 mins when Jeff Eckhardt handled and Murphy put away the spot kick and then just 5 minutes later Murphy scored the equaliser. Kevin Nugent had the last laugh when he vollyed in on 81 minutes to secure the three points for Cardiff. Mike Ford received a rapturous welcome from the Oxford fans. I bet they changed their mind at the end.

Great result. Oxford 2 - 3 City.
