| December Headlines |
There are a few titbits of gossip flying around today. Richie Humphreys looks set to stay at Ninian for at least another month. He has 3 games left of his first month (Bolton away, Merthyr home and Burley away next Saturday) but both the player and Frank Burrows want the deal to be extended. Tony Vaughan will play his last match for City at Ninian Park against Merthyr next Tuesday. That is unless the Bluebirds sign him on a permanent basis. If he is signed before the Dec 16th deadline then his loan will be quoshed thus gving Frank future loan possibilities. A team is only allowed 5 loan signings a season, and so far Tony's will be the first one used up (Josh Low was signed while he was on loan so his does not count). Leon McKenzie has been linked today with Cardiff City. The report in the Echo reads like its old news. City made an approach to Crystal Palace but beat a hasty retreat when £1m was mentioned by the Eagles. McKenzie scored against us last season while he was on loan at Peterborough. Clive Sullivan has been contacted by the Football League regarding his proposed investment into Cardiff City. Further discussions are being held but the view from this side of the line is that no problems are expected. |
