Where
do you start. The latest mission to find a striker has seen Frank flying out to Brussels
to watch a player. He apparantly scored in the game Frank saw him play. No further news on
that player though. There was a strong rumour yesterday that David Hirst from Southampton
was going to join on loan. Not only was he allegedly at Ninian Park, he was allegedly
spotted getting into his black BMW and driving off. The only definate signing still looks to be Josh Low. That is set to go through this week and Frank is looking at him to become a striker. Richie Humpreys was also mentioned yesterday, City just missed out on his signature at the last minute according to reports. The list of names mentioned in yesterdays Echo goes as follows. Issiah Rankin, Lee Peacock, Samassi Abouu, Tommy Johnson, the unnamed German striker that never was, Jerry Taihuttu - who scored a hattrick in his only trial game and was deemed not good enough along with Huphrey's and the new Belgian mission. All players targetted or approached in the last few months. Frank still insists he has found no one better than Kevin Nugent or Jason Bowen. Rest assured if there is any breaking news from the Club on signings I will bring it to you. |
