Danny Hill was City's saviour as he powered home a 73rd minute equaliser. Rovers had taken a 31st minute lead from Andy Thomson when he headed in from a Hillier corner. Hill's goal though was a cracker. Danny ran at the Bristol defence and played sweet one two with Dai Thomas and finished clinically.

CIty again struggled but always kept themselves in the game. In the second half they could have gone on to win, Hill's goal earned the point, but Jeff Eckhardts header minutes later could have taken all three but his powerful nod flew just over the bar.
