Tomorrow City start a season in Division 2 for the first time in 6 years. Much has changed since then. First a massive wave of optomism is running through Ninian park. The ship is being steadied by City fan and Club Chairman Steve Borley. For the first time ever a real, loyal, down to earth City fan is in charge. The Club has a manager with ambition, players who want to succeed, a ground that may be old but is being tended to and most of all they are prepared to invest in securing City as a Division 2 side with a goal to get higher.

Frank will have selection problems tomorrow with the loss of Mike Ford, Scott Young and Richard Carpenter. Russell Perrett and Kevin Nugent are doubtful but could play. City will start the campaign with Jon Hallworth as No.1 keeper after the failure to sign Khadim Faye. Also in the team for sure are striker Jason Bowen whose been in fine form pre season. Jeff Eckhardt and Lee Jarman are the only two fit first team defenders. If Perrett fails to make the game we may see ex Swansesa skipper John Cornforth come in as a sweeper. The flair midfield players are likely to be Boland and Fowler with Bonner in the middle. I expect to see Winstone Faerber at right  wing back and Andy Legg at left wing back.

My prediction for the starting line up is

1. Hallworth
2. Faerber
3. Legg
4. Eckhardt
5. Perrett / Cornforth
6. Jarman
7. Boland
8. Bonner
9. Fowler
10. Bowen
11. Nugent / Thomas

Subs. If Perrett and Nugent play.
Kelly (gk), Cornforth, Brazier, Hill, Thomas

Subs if Perret and Nugent do not play
Kelly (gk), Phillips or Middleton, Brazier, Hill, Hughes.

These ideas are my own. We'll see tomorrow.

Look out for new squad numbers, they will be announced tomorrow and I will update a full list over the weekend.

Please, to all those going to the game have a good one. Remember the reasonwe are going, its for the football. Have a great day and I hope we will be celebrating with 3 points.
