jarman_small.jpg (3403 bytes)Lee Jarman, who is struggling to get into the City team, will gain his 10th U21 cap for Wales this afternoon when he captains the U21 team in Minsk against Belarus. Congratulations to Lee on his achievement. Rob Earnshaw and Chris Roberts are both on the bench for the game that kicks off at 3:00pm this afternoon.

Report from Sporting Life.
Leeds United's Matthew Jones has been left out of the Wales' Under-21 team to play Belarus on Friday afternoon and will be on the substitutes bench for Saturday's full international here.

Wales had considered playing Jones, who was 19 on Wednesday, on Friday and then promoting him to the seniors but with so many injuries to midfielders it was decided not to take any risks.

Cardiff's Lee Jarman takes over the captaincy and wins his 10th Under-21 cap while Blackburn goalkeeper Anthony Williams - currently on loan at Gillingham - stretches his Welsh all-time record of caps at this level to 15.

Wigan's Simon Haworth wins his 11th cap alongside QPR's exciting young striker Leon Geanne, who was suspended for the last international following his infamous red card in Italy last season for waving his shirt above his head after scoring his debut goal for his country.
