What a morning. Frank Burrows is in talks with Ex Swansea midfielder John Cornforth about signing a short term contract at Ninian Park. Burrows has made this move after finding out that Richard Carpenter will be about for a few weeks with a broken toe.

Carpenter joins the list of crocked players who look certain to miss the opening game of the season. Mike Ford, Scott Young, Russell Perrett, Kevin Nugent to name a few.

Khadim Faye has returned to Portugal after a disagreement in payment terms between the clubs of Faye's transfer fee. Frank Burrows has said the deal is unlikely to be resolved.
