The top two of Reading and Brighton are 10 points ahead of City. Lennie is still keeping half an eye on an automatic place but it would mean City winning all their games and either Brighton or Reading only winning once in their last four games and losing a couple as well. The idea to keep winning is the right one though. At least it will guarantee a play off position and in the current form we are in there will be no team that will want to face us either in the two legged semi final or in front of 35,000 Bluebirds in the Millennium Stadium. That's the future though, here and now is a game against Port Vale, a crowd expected to be nearly 17,000 and the chance to probe deeper into the play off places. The top of the table looks like this.
Reading v Northampton Brighton v
Bristol City
Bury v Brentford. Stoke v Swindon
Huddersfield v Oldham Cardiff v
Port Vale
Q.P.R. v Notts County
Wycombe v Tranmere JASON
Koumas pledged his immediate future to Cardiff City's play- off rivals
Tranmere Rovers, played for Wales and then issued a heartfelt warning to the
Bluebirds. I think he may want to reconsider after Tranmere lost at home yesterday and City won away. Sorry Jason its not going to happen. After Monday's game we could possibly eliminate Q.P.R and Tranmere and the focus will then rest on the top 7. As usual the main issue is City getting the win. We can re-assess the situation after the games on Monday. |
