Kevin Nugent and Matt Brazier held productive talks with Leyton Orient today and are set to leave Ninian Park. The players met with O's manager Paul Brush and Chairman Barry Hearn and things went well. Talking on the official Orient website Brush said "Negotiations went well and are in advanced stages. They both came over from Cardiff today and sat down for productive discussions with the chairman and myself. The deals now hinge on them tying up their financial affairs with Cardiff City and we are hopeful that might happen soon. Some of the Orient fans should remember Kevin from when he was here before and he is an experienced centre forward whilst Matthew is equally comfortable on the left-side of defence or midfield." The pair nearly completed a move to Colchester before Christmas but they could not agree terms after a combined fee of around £70,000 was agreed between the clubs. It is not known what if any fee is involved this time. Nugent has also been interesting Bournemouth but its a return to Brisbane Rd that Nugent favours. Only Kevin Nugent has featured anywhere near the first team and its in the interest of both players to move away from Ninian Park to further their careers. |
