Campbell will now make his Cardiff City debut on Saturday at Northamptons Sixfields
Stadium. Campbell drove down from his home in the North East to meet up with his new teamamates on Monday night. He was able to train with them on Tuesday but he returned home when the game was called off. He will now come to Cardiff on Thursday and prepare for Saturdays game. The postponed game now means that Graham Kavanagh (provinding he does not pick up three more yellow cards - which would see him get a three game ban) will be available to play Huddersfield. Terriers boss Lou Macari, the man who brought him from Middlesbrough to Stoke, knows the potential of Kav and said his inclusion in the City line up will be a "major boost" for the Bluebirds. Kavanagh has already broken his goalscoring record for a season. His best 13 for Stoke plus 1 for Eire has now been beaten with Kav on 15 goals. He says he set himself that target and he still has possibly upto 12 games where he could still play this this season and extended his record. |
