Oh bugger. I'm not going to be nicey nicey here. We were stuffed and rightly so. Tranmere were up for it, we were not and as a fan that is so disappointing. Hard earned money spent to see a terrible performance. Only a win at Brighton on Thursday will act as any sort of antiseptic to the pain caused today Very little passion and very little heart. City went in front from a correctly given penalty, then it all went downhill. Only one effort on goal after that and defending that was as much of a giveaway as a sale in Hyper Value. Lapse defending allowed a clear cross for Rideout to head home. A shocking back pass saw Flynn nip in for Tranmere's second and a wristband which allowed Koumas free roaming of the park saw him slot home fro 12 yards to complete a thoroughly deserved Tranmere victory. Maybe next year. Oh well, at least we can concentrate on the league. |
