City's new signing Stephen Bywater was brought
on as a substitute with 10 minutes remaining in England U21's 1 - 1 draw
with Italy at Valley Parade, Bradford tonight. Bywater will travel to Wales to meet his new team-mates on Wednesday. Bywater will become City's No.2 and is expected to be on the bench as back up to Neil Alexander. Lennie Lawrence said "Stephen is a quality keeper. Neil is still the number one but this will give us a bit more competition for places." Lennie has said for a long time he wants a third keeper in the squad to cover and eventualities with play offs looming. The inclusion of Stephen Bywater will put pressure on Neil Alexander and it adds quality into the squad. Mark Walton will play for the reserves at Norwich on Wednesday and will now become City's third choice. Stephen Bywater factfile Born
