City's injury list is growing but there could be a couple of lights at the end of the tunnel.

Sources close to club are confident that Rob Earnshaw will miss the FA Cup trip to Tranmere. Gavin Gordon is racing against time to be fit. Leo FW would cover for Gavin while depending on the line up Jason Bowen could move forward to cover Earnie or Paul Brayson could step in. Willie Boland s also back after suspension so City have several line up options.

Spencer Prior is suspended for Sunday's game but he is injured anyway. First choice reserve defender David Hughes picked up a hamstring injury in the reserve game at Reading and is out of the squad.

There is some good news though. Both Peter Thorne and Michael Simpkins are expected to play some part of City's next reserve game. The Bluebirds entertain Portsmouth at Ninian Park next Tuesday 2:00pm. The official website reported that Thorne had completed a full training schedule and would play some part in the match next Tuesday.
