Rob Earnshaw is rated as doubtful for Sunday's FA Cup clash at Tranmere after the striker suffered hamstring troubles against Stoke City.

The club are still hopeful with Alan Cork saying

"Earnie has had some treatment, but it is too early to say what the chances of him playing against Tranmere are. We'll assess the situation over the next couple of days and, hopefully, he will be fit to play in the cup tie."

Safety first must be the rule though as hamstring problems can take a couple of weeks to recover themselves and City would not want to jeopardise further injury.

Paul Brayson was pulled from yesterday's reserve team game and looks the most likely to replace Earnshaw if he does not make it.

There's better news on Gavin Gordan. He was suffering from severe cramp but early reports suggest he will be fit to play. Leo FW is fit and ready to cover for Gavin if need be.
