Leo
FW and Paul Brayson were both pulled out of todays reserve game after the injuries to both
Rob Earnshaw and Gavin Gordon last night. Earnie is thought to have a slight back strain or a hamstrting problem and Gordon had severe cramp. Both players will be assessed over the next couple of days. Leo and Brayson could therefore be the two strikers for the FA Cup trip to Tranmere if Earnie and Gavin are out. With Peter Thorne still not back and Kurt Nogan out for the rest of the season City could be relying on back up from Kevin Nugent who leads the attack for the reserves today. City's other front line "striker" James Collins is is playing in his more natural defensive role for the reserves today. It appears Lennie Lawrence has adopted a "play them in their natural positions" policy and it appears to be working. |
