Rivals Brighton are in action tonight. The Seagulls are in action twice
this week as they have a live TV game on Thursday at Brentford as well the match against
Chesterfield tonight. Its important that as well as winning our own games the challengers near the top of Division 2 start to lose points. Stoke and Bristol City were both beaten at home on the weekend. A win for Chesterfield tonight would also do City a favour in holding Brighton back. Brighton are currently 8 points ahead of City in 4th place. They could go second tonight. They also have a game in hand on City but with them playing twice and City only one this week that will be levelled up for the match next week at the Withdean against Cardiff City. The best City can hope this week is a jump into 8th place. A win over Stoke and slip ups for Huddersfield and Tranmere who entertain Colchester and Peterborough respectively tomorrow night could see City move up. Of course we slip a game behind again on Saturday when there is close to a full programme being played while we are in cup action at Tranmere. |
