Cardiff City have picked up 30 points from 36 since Lennie has taken over. His management and the arrival of Andy Campbell have ensured a play off place for City and could well have won an automatic promotion spot if it was not for the referee at Huddersfield.

Anyway, reality, we are in the play offs. Tomorrow's game against Tranmere is Lennie's 13th in charge. He's unbeaten in the previous 12 with 9 wins and 3 draws. A win will guarantee a home play off tie in the second leg. The combinations are endless at the moment. City can finish in 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th depending on results. Either Reading or Brentford will go up automatically. We can also face Huddersfield, Stoke, Brentford or Reading.

All that will become clear at 4:50pm tomorrow.

For now City are looking to win the game for two reasons. 1, to keep the morale of the team up, better to go into the play offs on the back of a good run and 2, as payback for Tranmere knocking us out of the FA Cup.

City are expected to name an unchanged 16. Paul Brayson has a slight knock but should be on the bench. City will play their strongest available team and it should be the same as last week.

Des Hamilton and David Hughes are both back playing for the reserves but will not be considered for this game. They will play for the reserves next week and they could be available for the play offs as will hopefully Daniel Gabbidon and Andy Legg. Andy Campbell is not fit.

Tranmere have fallen away badly at the end of the season. Only 1 win in the last 8, those fixtures include a 2 - 1 reverse at lowly Cambridge and a 5 - 0 defeat at Peterborough.

City have only ever played Tranmere 8 times, winning 2, drawing 2 and losing 4.

Jason Koumas is set to play his last game for Tranmere ahead of a possible move to Everton. Koumas was convinced a few weeks ago it would be Tranmere v City fighting it out tomorrow for the last play off spot. With Tranmere on 63 points and City on 80 there is only one team that has made the play offs and it's not Tranmere.

1,800 City fans will be in party mood. When the play off semi final line up is all sorted then the build up to the most significant set of games for decades can begin.
