reports this morning have linked Cardiff City with three players. Mansfield Town's 26 goal striker Chris Greenacre and their left winger Wayne Corden. Also linked is Swansea City's Andrew Mumford. Greenacre has spent time at Ninian Park before. He was on loan from Man City 5 years ago. He is rated as a £million player. Corden is a left winger who has chipped in with 8 goals himself this season. Both players are out of contract at the end of the season. Cardiff City have confirmed via the official website that the players were watched last Saturday during their 2 - 0 defeat at Swansea and Lennie Lawrence will be watching them tonight when The Stags play Orient. They are said to be amongst many players who are being looked at. On the subject of Swansea it is also said that Andrew Mumford is a potential target. The 20 year old utility player was at Grimsby under Lennie Lawrence. Coach Jimmy Goodfellow watched all three players at the Vetch last Saturday. Swansea do not want to lose Mumford who is also out of contract at the end of the season. There is no news yet of a definite signing ahead of this Fridays match with Wrexham. Lennie was hoping to have a right wing back on board but there is no news on that at the moment. |
