The
Echo have confirmed this afternoon that City's 7 - 1 walloping of Oldham is officially our
record away win in the league. 7 - 0 and 7 - 1 wins in the 1945 - 1946 season do not count as it was not a full league program that season as the clubs tried to get back to normal after WWII. City have of course scored 7 this season already, Gavin Gordan got five of them as City beat Rushden in the LDV Vans Trophy. City's last 7 goal haul in the league was at Ninian Park on March 14th, 1998. The Bluebirds beat Doncaster Rovers with goals from Andy Saville (2), Wayne O'Sullivan, Chris Roberts, Chris Beech, David Penney and one of last Saturday's scorers Scott Young. |
