Cardiff City have confirmed that they have received a letter from the Football Association
of Wales charging them with misconduct.
The Club will formally respond to this charge and they look forward to attending a
commission so that they can have the opportunity first hand to demonstrate that they and
the Safety Group undertook all possible and reasonable measures in respect of the F.A
Challenge Cup Round Three match on 6th January 2002 against Leeds United.
The matter will now be handled in accordance with the F.A.W Rules and further comment
prior to the hearing with the F.A.W would not be appropriate.
