Leon Jeanne opened his Cardiff City account as did young Tony Wallis in a 3 - 0 win for the Bluebirds at Latham Park. James Collins picked his his second goal of the season when he scored City's second.

Jeanne headed City into 53rd minute lead. James Collins scored to make it 2 - 0 on 64 mins. Newtown missed a penalty before youth player Tony Wallis scored his first full City goal on 87 mins to make it a more convincing scoreline.

A poor first half was forgotten as the Bluebirds eased into the semi finals.
