City start the 2001 / 2002 FAW Cup campaign at Latham Park, Newtown tonight (7:15pm). This season City, along with Wrexham, Swansea and Newport County join the competition in the 1/4 final stages. The 4 big clubs are all away from home in this round before a two legged semi final followed by a one off final. So far for the big clubs its been good news. Swansea, Wrexham and Barry all won last night and await either City or Newtown in the semi final. The draw for which will take place after City's game later tonight. Highlights of tonights game are on BBC 1 Wales at 11:40pm. The match will be played to a finish with extra time and penalties if needed. City are expected to use a 5 - 3 - 2 formation with wingbacks. GK Lee Kendall Confirmation of team not available until just before kick off. City's assistant manager Ian Butterworth said of tonights game "We want to win this competition, we have selected a team capable of doing well tonight. Players are battling to earn a first team place and tonight several have a chance to press their claim." Leo FW, Josh Low and Rhys Weston were expected to play its reported they are withdrawn. Josh and Rhys are in Saturday's Wycombe squad and Leo has a slight ankle knock and is kept for inclusion on Saturday. Newtown squad.
