This
could be make or break weekend for City. While mathematically whatever happens City will
still be in with a shout the worse scenario could see us 7points off a play off spot with
only 7 games to go. That surely would be theend of the challenge. The teams that will
finish in the promotion and play off places will come from the current top 10. Wycombe in
11th are 9 points behind the play offs and too far away in my opinion.

Starting with the team in 10th place. Q.P.R
must win, it's their last chance for sure. They like Tranmere, Oldham and Cardiff will be
hoping for a Bristol City defeat. Rangers are away at Colchester, a defeat would make it
virtually impossible to have any hope of catching up a minimum 7 point gap in 6 games. Prediction. Draw.
Tranmere face a similar situation to Rangers. They do though have two
advantages. 1, they have played a game less and 2, they have a home game tomorrow against
Bournemouth. Tranmere are three points behind City having played the same number of games.
If they cannot beat Bournemouth at Prenton Park tomorrow then they will have probably
blown their last chance. Prediction. Home win.
Cardiff City. Of course it's all we care about. We cannot afford to lose.
If we do then we can probably forget it. If we win though then its a new ball game. Oldham
are a place above us but only on goal difference. They have also played a game more. A
City win would push us three points ahead of the Latics and still with the game in hand.
That would make City a play off contender with Oldham, Tranmere and Q.P.R. dropping behind
and games running out. Prediction. Draw.
Bristol City hold the key. They are currently in the last play off place,
4 points ahead of Oldham and Cardiff. Bristol are in average form. 2 wins, 2 defeats and a
draw in their last 5 games and no away win since January 13th. They play at Notts County
tomorrow with the Magpies fighting for their survival. They are in the drop zone but have
won the last 3 games scoring 8 goals without cenceeding. Included in that is a 3 - 0 home
win over Tranmere. Cardiff City fans must also be Notts County fans tomorrow. Come on you
Magpies. A defeat for Bristol and a win for Cardiff puts us only 1 point off a play off
place. Defeat for Cardiff with a win for Bristol would see the Robins 7 points ahead and
City's play off dreams in tatters. Prediction. Home win.
Huddersfield are away to bottom club
Cambridge. With a massive 6 pointer against the Terriers coming up for City a shock win
for Cambridge would be most welcome. Huddersfield, along with Bristol City are the teams
City must target. Prediction. Away win.
Stoke are looking comfortable for a play off place at least. They are at
home to Peterborough tomorrow and should win easily enough to maintain a promotion push.
Cardiff do have a game in hand on Stoke. Prediction. Home win.
Brentford in 3rd place will still be looking at an automatic place. They
are only 4 points behind Brighton, both teams have 7 games to go. Brentford are at home to
Wycombe. The Bees home form this season has been the key. They are virtually unbeatable at
Griffin Park. Prediction. Home win.
Brighton are also at home. This time to Bury. No contest. You can put
money on it. Zamora will score and Brighton will win. Prediction. Home win.
Leaders Reading are away at Chesterfield. They are still favourites for
automatic promotion but they have to travel away to Chesterfield. With Brentford and
Brighton with easy looking home games Reading need to win to maintain a 6 point gap from
3rd place. If it goes wrong for the Royalsd that could go down to three points and their
automatic promotion ambitions will be a little unsteady. Prediction. Away win.
So there you have it. Bottom line, Cardiff must win. Bristol City, and ideally Huddersfield and Stoke, must
lose. Then its up for grabs. Anything else starts to make it more and more difficult.
