City reserves, inc 5 of the transfer listed players went down by 4 goals to 2 at Ninian Park this afternoon.

Kurt Nogan gave City the lead on 27 mins and they kept that lead until half time.

Marc McCammon levelled for Brentford on 52 mins and Scott McCulloch put City back in front on 68 mins.

City were reduced to 10 men after Matt Brazier was taken off on a stretcher and Kurt Nogan limped off with a hamstring problem. City had used all their subs prior to Nogan going off.

Brentford took advantage of the 10 men as the Bluebirds fell apart.

Stephen Hughes, 79, Eddie Hutchinson, 82 and Julian Charles, 89 made it a comfortable win for Brentford.
