Cardiff have been rocked by the news that Des Hamilton will not play again this season. It's a massive blow to both player and Club and with Josh Low also injured leaves City without a right wing back. Lennie Lawrence has now changed his mind on trying to sign a loan goalkeeper and is now looking for a right wing back.

Its unlikely that Jason Bowen will be fit for Saturday with the player still suffering from a neck injury sustained in training. Layton Maxwell is rated 50 / 50.

City have 14 players currently injured but several will hope to be available for Saturday's massive game against Oldham. The Latics themselves are struggling with injuries and they have just signed former Scotland No.1 Andy Goram after injury to their regular keeper. Goram could play against City on Saturday.

It's a must win game for both teams. It's looking like a three horse race between Bristol, Oldham and Cardiff for the final play off spot. Defeat for City on Saturday and points picked up for Bristol City could see Cardiff consigned to Div 2 football again next season. A City win and a defeat for Bristol City would keep it tight.

One thing for sure is that City cannot afford to lose. If we are to be in the play offs we have to be big enough and strong enough to go and win these sort of games.

There will be an injury update and a preview of all the important Division 2 games in the site updates on Friday.

The match at Boundary Park on Saturday is pay at the gate and over 3,500 City fans can be accomodated.
