Cardiff City will field their strongest possible starting line up for tonights FAW Cup final against Swansea City.

Lennie Lawrence told a pre match press conference (available on audio from the official site) that Daniel Gabbidon, Scott Young, Josh Low and Des Hamilton will miss the game through injury, Young is resting his groin and will not play, the other three are still recovering from the injuries that kept them from the end of the season. Rob Earnshaw is away with Wales ahead of his probable debut against Germany at the Millennium Stadium tomorrow while Neil Alexander flies out to Korea with Scotland.

Lennie has highlighted two other question marked players. The midfield engines of Willie Boland and Mark Bonner are rated as probable but not definate after illness forced Willie Boland to miss training and Mark Bonner has had wisdom teeth removed and he is recovering.

Leon Jeanne and Ceri Hugfhes are both in the squad and are sure to see some action. Lenie has not ruled out Leon Jeanne starting the game but the bench is most likely.

Paul Brayson, released by Lennie, is no longer at Cardiff City and will take no part in tonights game.

Mark Walton will start in goal and Lee Kendall has recovered from cartlidge surgery and will be on the bench.

City then expect to be

Walton, (from) Weston, Prior, Legg, Kavanagh, Leo FW, Boland, Bonner, Maxwell, Thorne, Jeanne, Simpkins, Collins, Ceri Hughes, Kendall, Thorne, Campbell.

Swansea City are bringing the following squad.

Freestone, Phillips, Howard, Sharp, O'Leary, Smith, Coates, Cusack,  Mumford, Brodie, Draper, Thompson, Todd, Watkin, Williams, Sidibe, Jones.

John Williams of course is an ex Cardiff player and there have been reports in the past that Cardiff were looking at Andrew Mumford.

The biggest ever crown in the competitions history will watch tonight's final which is also being shown libe on BBC TV.

If the game is level after 90 minutes then it will go to extra time and penalties if required.

Kick off is at 6:55pm.

Best of luck to both teams, it is a cup final, a lot of prize money is at stake.
