Cardiff
and Wrexham both get the chance to put league pressure to one side as the clubs meet in
the FAW Premier Cup semi final at the Racecourse. Both sides are expected to make changes from their league teams. City will rest Alexander, Legg, Gabbidon, Boland, Kavanagh, Campbell and Thorne. Scott Young joins the injury list and could be doubtful for Saturday's clash at Oldham. Josh Low, Layton Maxwell and Spencer Prior are expected to be the only three players from last Saturday's line up to start tonights game. They will be joined in the squad by last Saturday's subs Des Hamilton, Paul Brayson, Leo FW, Mark Walton and Michael Simpkins as well as James Collins, Gethin Jones, Martyn Giles, Kevin Evans, Tony Wallis and the return from injury of David Hughes. This is a much stronger line up than the one that faced Newtown in the 1/4 final and Lennie is hoping for these players to prove themselves worthy of a call up to the first team. With Scott Young suffering from a groin injury there is a big chance for Davind Hughes to impress. The winners of tonight's game wil play either Swansea or Barry in the final. Tonights game is a one off tie. Extra time and penalties if needed. Kick off at 6:55pm with the game live on BBC Wales and Sky Digital. |
