City slip up after a disappointing night in London. Jason Bowen gave City a 19th minute lead and the Bluebirds were the stronger first half team. As so often happens this season though we could not put in a 90 minute performance. Brentford scored on 54 and 78 mins and we come away empty handed. To add insult to to injury we drop a place as Tranmere win to go above us, we get Kav yellow carded so he now faces a two match ban and we drop back into mid table as the play off places slip to being 5 points away. There is still a lot to play for but we have got to learn lessons. So many time we have surrendered at half time in matches. Steve Coppell was able to make a half time change in tactics and it won the game for him. Why can't we do that? Our manager knows something about football surely. Coppell's quotes hit
home "I
was aware of Cardiff's quality, we were unable to get into any rhythm in the
first half. We changed the system after the break and we played very well
being positive." Alan Cork learn from that, we cannot sit back on a 1 goal
lead. History this season has shown us that we cock it up. Peter Thorne was on the bench with Leo starting the game,
Josh Low started as well as Michael Simpkins. City used all three subs but
were so poor in the second half that hardly any chances were created. signed.....disappointed of Cardiff. |
