Peter Thorne and Jason Bowen are set to line up together as City face Brentford at Griffin Park tonight. For Thorne its his first start for City the home game against Brentford in early December when he was injured after scoring City's opening goal in a 3 - 1 win.

Another result like that tonight would see the Bluebirds up into 6th place, the final play off spot, overtaking Brentford in the process.

Last night Brighton beat Reading at the Withdean to make it difficult for City to catch the automatic spots. Brighton have an 11 point game having played one game more.

Cardiff have not won three games on the trot all season in the league. Tonight it will not be easy as Brentford have only lost once at home all season. City wil be confident though and with Jason Bowen in fine form, Kav scoring regularly and Peter Thorne back in the team we can score goals. The defence hvae shored themselves up and have only conceed twice in the last 5 games and one of those was a penalty.

Andy Legg is suspended while Earnie, Hamilton and Gordon are all injured. City are likely to line up

Alaxander, Weston, Prior, Young, Gabbidon, Simpkins, Bonner, Boland, Kavanagh, Thorne, Bowen. Subs from Leo FW, Low, Maxwell, Brayson, Collins, Jones, Walton.

Brentford are expected to be unchanged from the team that beat Bournemouth on the weekend.
