City can confirm their play off place this weekend with a home win over Notts County. City could afford to lose the game providing Bristol City fail to win at Blackpool. There is a chance we could draw the game and still not make the play offs.

City are currently in 4th place. The Bluebirds will be looking to finish as high as possible to ensure home advantage in the play off semi final second leg.

There is a mimium chance of automatic promotion but it would involve both Reading and Brentford losing this weekend and then drawing with each other on the final Saturday while City would have to win both remaining games and hope to overturn a goal deficit.

The simple thing to think of is a City win means play offs guaranteed.

Brighton will win the league if they beat Swindon at the Withdean. Reading can confirm promotion if they beat Peterborough at the Madjeski and Brentford lose at Q.P.R. The play race is also wide open with Huddersfield in 6th place, and only two points behind Cardiff, looking over their shoulder as Bristol City hope to pip the Terriers to the final play off spot but it could all turn around if Huddersfield and Bristol win and City lose then it will be the Bluebirds worrying about being caught. City play Notts County who are not yet safe at the bottom of the table. Defeat for the Magpies, who face Huddersfield in their last game, could have them hanging over the relegation cliff.

At 4:50pm on Saturday I would hope to be celebrating a guaranteed play off place. One thing for sure is that several issues will be sorted and we will know excactly what we need to do at Tranmere.
