Sam Hammam is set to announce a "war against hooliganism" at tomorrows home game with Peterborough. Hammam said "On Saturday, we are announcing a war on hooliganism and we hope that other people in the football world, and particularly in Wales, will follow suit. Cardiff should be a major Premier League club, but we cannot be there if hooligans are going to continue ruling." Sam is sure the football authorities will little for Cardiff to answer to after they conduct their enquiries and he is appalled by the media furore. "In my 25 years in football I have never witnessed an orchesterated and vicous media campaign like the one Cardiff City is having to face. Let there be no doubt there is only one outcome, triumph to the people of Wales and to Cardiff City. What you are going to see is that all Cardiff supporters are going to get much closer together.. This vile campaign is going to prompt us to embark on a new dawn and we will use this stumbling block as a stepping stone to rise higher. We will not get bitter - we will get better." Sam is planning to hand out pamphlets to City supporters explaining the clubs view of what's been happening in the last week. |
