The only definite outcome from todays meeting between the FA and the FAW is the banning of Sam Hammam from walking around the pitch.

Sam earlier in the week vowed to stop his strolls but today the FA banned hin and told him to stay in the Directors Box.

The two organisations have returned to their respective offices where they will consider the punishments to be handed out to their teams. The clubs can expect to know something next week.

FAW secretary Davd Collins said

"The FAW totally supports Cardiff City Council's approach to the safety certificate at the ground.

The FAW directs Mr Hammam to restrict himself to the directors' box during matches, and immediately before and after matches.

The Football Associations of Wales and England deplore the acts of coin throwing that took place against the match officials at Ninian Park, and the pitch invasion.

The decision with regard to any disciplinary measures is still being considered and we are still gathering evidence."

This comes on a day when dawn police raids in S Wales arrested 8 men on top of four already arrested after last Sundays troubles. The police have said more addresses have been targetted.

Sam Hammam has given his full backing to his matchday minder Neil MacNamara. MacNamara was with Sam on his walk around Ninian Park last week and has been splashed all over the papers today. MacNamara has served a 12 month ban for soccer violence. He has now been sacked by his security firm but Sam has told him he has no intention of sacking him as his personal bodyguard.

MacNamara came in for high praise from Sam for putting his past behind him. Sam says he is like a "poacher turned gamekeeper".
