Cardiff City expect to name an unchanged squad for the visit of Peterborough tomorrow.

Peter Thorne is not yet ready for action but could play in either the reserve game next week or the FAW Cup game at Newtown.

City are likely to field a strong first team against Newtown.

Michael Simpkins is also expected to play some part in one of those games.

Des Hamilton came through 90 minutes in Wednesdays reserve game at Colchester and may be considered for a recall but after only one game is unlikely.

Alan Corks only real selection decision is whether to re call Jason Bowen in place of Paul Brayson.

One thing is for sure the FA Cup heroes will be warmly received by the Ninian park faithful. Sam has said he will frame pictures of the goals being scored last week against Leeds and place them up in the boardroom at Ninian Park.

Saturdays games is a must win for City as we hope to edge up towards the promotion places. With games against Wycombe, Stoke and Brighton, all promotion rivals, to follow this month we have to make the most of our home games and get the points in the bag now. We will be playing catch up again soon when the FA Cup weekend comes around and we miss another fixture.

Alan Cork has said of his side

"All the players realise that Leeds was a one-off game.

There are more important things for this club to consider - the players who were interviewed after the Leeds game all said that off their own back.

They realise they've got to start performing in the league and winning some games.

I guess we won't really know whether the players have got the Leeds game out of their system until five minutes into the game against Peterborough."
