Andy Campbell will miss tonight's massive clash at the McAlpine. Rob Earnshaw is likely to start the game with Paul Brayson available to cover from the bench if Earnie cannot make the full 90 mins. Earnshaw is only just back from injury. Scott Young is rated as 50/50 while Jason Bowen is in the squad and is fit and ready to play. Bowen missed last Saturday's game at Colchester after a family bereavement. Earnshaw for Campbell should be the only change if Young is not ready to step back in. Andy Legg is still out but will hope to be involved in Saturday's game against his old club Notts County. Huddersfield will have Leon Knight in the team. He is facing a 7 match ban. He is appealing a 2 match ban which enables him to make the City game, he has a three match ban to follow after a straight red card and he is only a booking away from another two match ban. City are expected to take around 2,500 - 3,000 fans to Yorkshire with a win guaranteeing the Bluebirds a coveted play off spot. It will also keep alive automatic promotion place. For automatic promotion to be achieved City must win all three of their remaining games. Then the following must happen. Brentford must only gain a maximum 3 from 6 points available to them and Reading a maximum 3 from 6 points available to them. A City draw or defeat will spell then end of the automatic dream and so will a Reading win coupled with a Brentford win on Saturday. Stranger things have happened but I feel a play off place confirmed will be fair reward for Lennie after taking over a mid table side who were threatening to have a disaster of a season. Kick off at the McAlpine is at 7:45pm and it is pay at the turnstile for City fans. |
