Peter Thorne is hoping to get his first goal since returning from injury. City's £1.7m striker has had one of his worse seasons as far as injuries are concerned and he's desperate to start scoring again. "I don't mind how my next goal comes. It can go in off my backside for all I care. I'll take anything at the moment." he told the Western Mail. Thorne partners Andy Campbell up front today and they will be looking to help themselves to some goals against an inconsistent Blackpool team who despite winning 3 - 0 away last Saturday at bottom of the table Cambridge were said to be "awful" by one of their fans. Thorne believes he will pull out of his lean spell "I'm sure it will come right in the end. All strikers go through a patch when they're not scoring. This isn't the first bad patch I've had. I've always got out of them in the past and I'll get out of this one. "I'm an optimist. I won't let the situation affect me. The main thing is that the team keeps on winning. I'll settle my own personal score along the way." The full interview with Peter Thorne can be found here.
