The FA and the Welsh FA will have a joint investigation into the crowd scenes at Ninian Park yesterday.

The FA statement said

The Football Association strongly condemns the scenes witnessed at Ninian Park in Cardiff on Sunday. This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable.

All matters relating to stadium security, safety and crowd control at Cardiff are primarily the responsibility of the Football Association of Wales. However, today we have accepted an invitation from the Football Association of Wales to take part in a joint investigation. We will provide every possible assistance in gathering evidence.

In addition, as this was an F. A. Cup fixture, officials at The F.A. have already started a full and separate inquiry. This will establish all the facts before any decisions are made on what action should be taken in relation to cup competition rules.
