Sam Hammam has had his request to sit in the dug out at Bournemouth refused by the Dorest club.

This is the third away game in a row City have played and the third time he has been refused permission to sit on the bench.

Bournemouth vice chairman Andrew Kay confirmed that Sam would not be allowed to be on the bench at Dean Court tomorrow

"Having been contacted by Cardiff we approached Dorset police and they feel that, following on from the Leeds game which has blown the whole thing out of the water, it would be inappropriate for him to sit in the dug-out.

"Mr Hammam will, of course, be more than welcome to sit in the directors’ box and to join us in the boardroom. The directors’ box is literally just six rows further back in the main stand so he will get the same kind of view. As long as he stays away from the dug-out, we have no problem.

"We feel obliged to go along with the advice from the police and we will be contacting the Football League with our decision on Monday morning. They in turn will inform Cardiff City."
