Matt Brazier has spoken out about his treatment at Cardiff City and his disappointment in being overlooked for the first team.

Brazier joined Orient last week along with Kevin Nugent and followed Jason Fowler, who left for Torquay earlier in the season, and Andy Thompson who is currently on loan at Shrewsbury. In fact Brazier, Nugent and Fowler could all be on the same pitch this afternoon as Orient visit Torquay with Nugent and Brazier ready to make their debuts.

Brazier hit back at his treatment and gives his thoughts about his time at Ninian Park.

"I didn't matter if I played out of my skin for the reserves, I wasn't going to get a game at Cardiff this season and Alan Cork made that clear to me at the start." said Brazier.

"Last season players who didn't play well were dropped and those who played well kept the shirt. But that wasn't the case this season. I think I should have played a bigger part at Cardiff this season, especially after doing well last year when we won promotion. But obviously there was a problem. Alan Cork has his reasons for not playing me. He might say there wasn't a problem between us, but I think there was. I don't think he wanted me anywhere near the club."

Brazier found on the first day of pre season training he was transfer listed along with several other players

"On the first day of pre-season training I was told I was on the transfer list which I thought was disappointing, but I wasn't going to give up. I worked hard and played well in the reserves but, no matter what I did, I wasn't going to get a look in and I found that astonishing. But I've got nothing to prove to Alan Cork. I know I'm a good player. I'm just going to enjoy my football now with Orient. If I see Alan again I'll have no problem saying hello."

Brazier has sent a message to the other transfer listed players still at Ninian Park

"I hope the other transfer-listed players get out of Cardiff soon because they are not wanted there. They need to get on with their careers and they need to start playing first-team football again. I wish them all the best."

Brazier, along with the other frozen out players were in Matt's opinion treated abysmally.

"I think we were treated abysmally. For instance, there was a stage this season when I didn't touch the ball for six weeks. At every football club there are players that aren't wanted. That happens. But there is a way to do things, and the way it was done at Cardiff was extremely disappointing. I was glad when Andy (Thompson) joined Shrewsbury and Jason (Fowler) went to Torquay, and I'm pleased myself and Kevin (Nugent) have got a new club,"

Brazier finished off by thanking the fans and giving his thoughts on a possible City promotion

"I'd like to thank all the Cardiff supporters. It was brilliant the way they stood by me this season. I did enjoy my time in Wales and it was great winning promotion last season. There is an excellent bunch of players at Cardiff. There's a lot of talent there and they've got a good attitude. If they're managed right, they will move forward. But I think their best chance of promotion is through the play-offs now. They've drawn too many games this season. The players know that automatic promotion is probably beyond them now after losing at Brighton."
