City will be hoping for another Easter win and a strengthening of a position in the play off places. Huddersfield and Stoke are only three points ahead and a win for City with defeat for either of those could see us move up the table a bit further.

City have doubts over Scott Young and more so Andy Legg. Both were taken off at Chesterfield on Saturday.

City have beaten Vale twice so far this season, 2 - 0 at Vale Park with goals from Spencer Prior and Rob Earnshaw and 3 - 0 in the FA Cup with goals from Earnie, Leo and Gavin Gordon.

For Cardiff this could be a 4th consecutive win. For Vale they have lost / drawn / won in their three games.

City are expecting 16,000 home fans today. Less than 2,000 tickets were left at close of play on Good Friday while City have a 3,800 walk up allowance for the lower bob bank. This area was sold out against Wrexham and fans were turned away. Get there early.

Today's referee is Phil Richards from Lancashire.
