New signing Andy Campbell is looking forward to his City debut and hopefully  the start of a lng term career at Ninian Park.

Campbell told last nights Echo

"I already know I want to sign for Cardiff on a permanent basis - and that is not dependent on promotion."

Thats great news for City that a player who has played in the Premiership as recently as 4 weeks ago can see the potential at Ninian Park, it is also a great credit to Lennie Lawrence who launched the boys career.

City signed Campbell ahead of a clutch of other clubs inc Stoke, Grimsby and Bradford. Campbell is aiming high

" I can't wait to play and already I feel I would love to stay. No matter what happens this season - and I really believe we can earn promotion - I am keen to make this a permanent move.

"Yes, if Cardiff City retain their ambition, keep the squad they have now and maybe add one or two I would be keen to stay even in Division Two.

"I don't believe it will come to that. I am convinced Cardiff City are heading for Division One - we must all believe that and chase that goal."

Well Andy Campbell. Welcome to Cardiff City and hopefully you will start with a goal or two against Northampton tomorrow.
