Cardiff City will this week appoint Lennie Lawrence as Director of Football. Lawrence left 1st Division Grimsby last week and is seen as the experienced help for Alan Cork.

The Club are expected to announce the news on New Years Day.

Lawrence has managed in the top two divisions for many years and while he is usually associated with relegation battles he does command respect and instill passion in his players.
