Newspaper reports this morning claiming that Alan
Cork is speaking to 34 year old Irish international midfielder Alan McLoughlin have been
denied by the City boss. The 42 times capped player left Wigan last week after agreeing to
terminate his contract.Cork said "There is no truth in that at all, we are not bringing in any new players right now". McLoughlin last played for Ireland in 1999 and he has scored two international gaols. His career started with Manchester Utd in 1985 and he has played for a number of clubs inc Swindon and Southampton, the Saints bought him for £1m. McLoughlin spent 7 years making over 300 league appearances for Portsmouth. |
