Tiverton
Town FC are holding meeting with the police tomorrow to decide on where the FA Cup tie
against Cardiff City should be played. If the go ahead is given for the game to be played at Ladysmead then Cardiff will be allocated under 600 tickets from a capacity of 3,500. The Tiverton chairman David Wright said "We will try and get the tie played at home but it's up to the police. They will advise us which way to go. But the large number of Cardiff fans who could travel down to Tiverton could obviously be of concern to the police." The match was yesterday overlooked for live TV coverage so the interest from the City fans to travel will be great. Options include switching it to St James Park, Exeter, Home Park, Plymouth or even to Ninian Park. Congratulations to Newport County who beat Woking 3 - 1 lat night and earned themselves an away trip to Blackpool in round 1. |
